    Lowered Property Taxes to residents and businesses in Kenner
    Brought Kenner Back first from Hurricane Katrina
    Left the largest Surplus in Rainy Day Fund EVER
    Built bridge on Vintage
    Built Bridge on 31st  st
    Built Spray Park at A.P. Clay Resource Center (community development grant)
    Built U-turn lane on West Metairie and Roosevelt
    Major Improvements to Sewage, consolidation of Sewage Treatment plant 1 and 3 a 10 Million dollar project (brought project in 1 million under budget)
    Built Fire Station #36
    Negotiated and open Kenner’s own TV Station K76
    Created Kenner’s first Domestic Violence Court
    Discovered that city was building public buildings on private property
    Improvements to Laketown built shelters and additional parking, lighting, walking path
    Secured a 5 million grant to hire more Firemen (Safer Grant)
    Supported and help pass Civil Service for City Employees
    Started the first soccer program in Kenner Recreation
    Opened gyms on weekends so that adults and children could have open play
    Opened the Louis J. Roussell Laser Planetarium

    And remember, Mayor Capitano did this in 2 years even with the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States.

    Secured Corporate Donations of Christmas Lights for Kenner City Park

    Worked on co-operative agreement with Audubon Elem.
    Secured Donations for Christmas Lights on Loyola
    Improvements to Seton Parc Pocket Park
    Improvements to Woodlake Playground
    Curbing from Loyola to Vintage on East & West Loyola
    Major drainage improvements throughout the district including Backup power
    sources to pumping station at parish line and backup generator.
    Major sewage improvements including backup generators for lift stations
    Resurface Tennis court
    Oversaw the development of the Loyola Tract
                Built the most restrictive WalMart in the country
                Regulated the building of Award Winning Nation’s Best Apartment
                Limited apartment development to 499 from the proposed 900             apartments
                Negotiated landscaping on Loyola to Kenner City Park at developers             cost to plant and maintain
                Regulated the building of the Oakland Plantation Subdivision
